Location: Cape Town

Are you passionate about precision and excellence? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail makes all the difference? Kazang is looking for a Quality Controller to ensure our devices meet the highest standards before reaching our customers.


What You’ll Do

  • Device Quality Inspection:
    Perform thorough checks on Kazang devices before dispatch, ensuring physical condition, accessories, packaging, and labeling meet compliance standards.

  • Functional Testing:
    Test hardware components (screen, keypad/touch, battery, ports, printer, SIM slots) and verify software functionality, OS stability, and correct firmware versions. Confirm Kazang app installation and transaction readiness.

  • Connectivity & Transaction Testing:
    Validate SIM connectivity, network strength, and data communication. Perform test transactions and confirm printer output accuracy.

  • Configuration & Setup:
    Configure devices according to Kazang specifications, loading profiles, APNs, merchant parameters, and security settings.

  • Defect Identification & Reporting:
    Detect and document faulty devices, escalate issues, and track recurring problems for corrective action.

  • Compliance & Documentation:
    Ensure adherence to QC standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate checklists, reports, and inventory status.

  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
    Work closely with logistics and technical teams, support troubleshooting, and suggest improvements to QC processes.


What Success Looks Like

  • Accuracy: 99% of devices dispatched pass QC with zero post-deployment issues.
  • Efficiency: All devices tested within SLA timelines.
  • Impact: Reduced merchant complaints and improved device reliability in the field.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Qualification: National Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2–3 years’ experience in Quality Control, Device Testing, or Technical Support within a hardware or fintech environment.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and proficiency in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
