Drive People Transformation in Fintech – Join Kazang as our People Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

At Kazang, a leader in South Africa’s fintech industry, we believe people are at the heart of innovation. We’re looking for an experienced People Practitioner to play a pivotal role in change integration, BBBEE, and skills development, while ensuring our HR operations run seamlessly during a key transition period.

Century City, Cape Town | Fixed-Term: October 2025 – May 2026

Key Focus Areas

  • Lead Change Integration Initiatives
    • Support business transformation projects and ensure smooth adoption of change.
    • Engage and prepare teams for new processes, systems, or organisational structures.
    • Coach managers on leading through change and building resilient teams.
  • Advance Skills Development Strategy
    • Manage learnerships, internships, and SETA-related projects from end to end.
    • Ensure Skills Development initiatives meet both compliance requirements and business capability needs.
    • Track, measure, and report on training impact.
  • Drive BBBEE and Employment Equity
    • Implement initiatives across Skills Development, Socio-Economic Development, and Employment Equity elements of the BBBEE scorecard.
    • Facilitate Employment Equity committee meetings, compile reports, and submit EE plans in line with legislative requirements.
    • Partner with leadership to ensure transformation targets are met and embedded in business culture.
  •  Deliver Core HR Functions
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to ensure a seamless candidate-to-employee experience.
    • Oversee Industrial Relations (IR) matters, including providing advice, facilitating hearings, and ensuring LRA compliance.
    • Handle mandatory HR submissions, including EE Reports, Workplace Skills Plan (WSP), and Annual Training Report (ATR).
    • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance
  •  Build Engagement and Culture
    • Assist in planning and delivering staff events that connect people across the business, including monthly Thirsty Thursday gatherings and other team-building activities.
    • Support initiatives that celebrate diversity, company milestones, and employee achievements.
    • Partner with leaders to create engagement programs that foster collaboration, morale, and a sense of belonging.

 What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience, with proven expertise in BBBEE, Skills Development, and change management.
  • Qualifications: Relevant HR / Industrial Psychology / Business degree or diploma.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of South African labour legislation, SETA requirements, and BBBEE scorecard compliance.
